The day has finally come! 2011's most hyped products have hit the stores on the same day: The Nintendo 3DS and the iPad 2. Gadget sales are expected to hit a new record as a result of the dual releases.

Thousands of excited people queued overnight across the UK outside Gamestation stores so they could get their hands on the 3DS as early as possible. The Nintendo 3DS, which allows users to play games in 3D without wearing glasses, went on sale at midnight, much to the happiness of many Game Station fans.

Some of the 3DS included apps and games to look out for are: Face Raiders (you can shoot balls at you and your friends' faces as they buzz around your screen), Mii Maker (a souped up version of the Wii's caricature making), StreetPass Mii Plaza (the gaming world's most valiant attempt at social networking without the politics), Pilotwings Resort (the game that sets you on a mission or lets you sit back and sightsee from your plane or glider) and ninetendogs + cats (your own virtual puppy and kitten to train and mind with a wide selection to choose from).
